Promotions

Towncentre Taupo runs a number of retail promotions during the year to attract shoppers into the CBD, and to reward them for coming.

Our random act of kindness programme seeing 1000 mums and dads spoilt every year with a surprise Mothers Day or Fathers Day gift, and our Easter Bunnies give away 4000 chocolate fish to shoppers in town every Easter!

The major summer promotion is around the Christmas period, with Santa coming to town, and setting up his special Trustpower Santa Cave at Whitcoulls every year. The annual Christmas Parade, street decorations and market day add to the festive atmosphere in the Taupo CBD.

In July, we celebrate our proximity to the stunning Ruapehu ski fields by holding our annual Winterfest celebrations. Quirky games, fun activities, and a snowpark are some of the free family activities we provide over the weekend.

Towncentre Taupo also proudly welcomes athletes and supporters for all the major events hosted in Taupo, including Ironman, Great Lake Relay and the Lake Taupo Cycle Challenge.
