Graffiato: Taupō Street Art Festival 2026

  • Towncentre Taupō 32 Roberts Street Taupō, Waikato, 3330 New Zealand (map)

Graffiato: Taupō Street Art Festival is the longest running street art festival of its kind in New Zealand, held annually in Taupo over Labour weekend since 2011.

It is also the most well-established festival of any kind in Taupo's history. A combination of well-known artists, along with local emerging talent, will paint 9 walls over the 3-day Labour weekend. The murals liven up and bring beauty to the back alleyways and streets of the town centre, while engaging the local community with an ever-growing art gallery in the CBD.

The 2026 version of the event will feature another incredible set of 11x talented artists, with the added wrinkle that all of them will be working out of the same laneway! We will be stationed in service lane 8, between Tuwharetoa St to the south, Te Heuheu St to the north, Ruapehu St to the west and Titiraupenga St to the east.

As a result, we will be able to turn this event into a buzzing laneway festival. This will give enthusiasts a huge variety of art to enjoy all in one place.
