With event season getting into full swing and some recent big announcements, Towncentre Taupō is proud to jointly host the September BA5 with the Taupō District Council Events team and Destination Great Lake Taupō.  

Guest speaker Steve Giles, Events and Venues Manager for Taupō District Council , will share his inside knowledge of the Supercars Championship and IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship, taking place in Taupō in 2024. Having recently returned from the 2023 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championships in Finland, as a guest rather than an athlete, Steve has seen first hand the impact such an event has on the local economy and will have tips on how local businesses can be prepared to make the most of these incredible opportunities.
