Graffiato: Taupō Street Art Festival

Dive deep into the vibrant heart of our town centre with the Graffiato: Taupō Street Art Festival, an event that has redefined New Zealand's urban art landscape. As the nation's longest lasting street art festival, Graffiato captivates both locals and visitors, unveiling a spectrum of global urban culture through its mesmerizing murals.

Every year at Labour Weekend street art legends, along with emerging mural artists, are invited to Taupō to transform 10 walls in the town centre into incredible works of art.  The festival allows visitors to see the artists in action, creating an urban art experience like no other.

As you wander the streets and alleyways of Taupō, expect to stumble upon hidden gems that even the most seasoned locals rediscover time and again.  The Graffiato collection showcases over 85 spellbinding murals. These masterpieces breathe life into the town, juxtaposing its natural beauty with contemporary artistry. Each piece tells a story, reflects an emotion, and embodies the essence of street art, making it an ever-evolving gallery under the open sky.

Whether you're an art aficionado, a cultural enthusiast, or someone seeking a unique experience, the Graffiato: Taupō Street Art Festival awaits you. It's not just an event; it's where art meets soul, community meets creativity, and Taupō meets the world.
